One of the highlights of our recent trip to the Amalfi
coast was the day spent at Mamma Agata’s in Ravello. Upon arriving we were warmly greeted by
Chiara and immediately offered cappuccino and lemon cake. Once all the parties arrived and the group of
eleven was complete Chiara whisked us from the picturesque terrace to the kitchen where we met Mamma and began the cooking
class. The entire day (10:15am until approximately 4:30pm) is skillfully orchestrated by Chiara.
We enjoyed cooking, eating and drinking Gennaro’s homemade wine very much, but we were most impressed by the
entire family’s contribution and dedication. At Mamma Agata’s they grow their own vegetables,
make their own wine and keep their traditions alive in a charming 250 year old family home. Mamma Agata
is an inspiration on many levels.
Thank you Mamma Agata for a wonderful experience. Erica & Andrew
